Sounds like a Live-aid rock concert tagline..
So I am a bartender, and I have no blender. I wanted a Pina Colada here at home, and so had to be a little creative.
Its been very hot here in SF the past 3 days, and so frozen sounded good. My solution lead me to be patient, as I had to put the who concoction in the freezer for a few hours, to let it get slushy. The end result is tasty, yet must be drank quickly as it reliquifies fast.

Re: Bartenders without blenders
Sat, June 9, 2007 - 8:37 AMFor faster frozen results w/o a blender try this. Take a towel and fold it in half around a desired amount of ice then beat it with a hammer until pretty flat. Drop ice in glass and and mix your drink. After ten times of doing this you will get tiered of it and go buy a blender.
