I work in a high volume nightclub were sales dictate shifts received and best wells. Anyone work at a club like this? My club has a circular bar with five wells. we sell collectively about 11 grand a night. Evidently I'm not as fast as some of my coworkers and I'm looking for tips on speeding up service. This is a very competitive and stressfull work enviro as you may well imagine. Please give up some thoughts and comparisons if you will.

Fri, December 29, 2006 - 11:33 AMAllways remember in the world of bartending it is about the tips not the house pay. So be concerned about quality and not quantity. Take your time with the customer and make him feel welcome like he or she is important despite all those numbers. They are who you are making the drink for now.
Before you know it your better service and (slightly loaded drinks)*what you can get away with* will pay off and people will wait in line for you VS. quick unfriendly service from those other guys. -

Fri, December 29, 2006 - 8:50 PMI wish this was the case in the clubs I go to. Bartenders are usually so overloaded, you're lucky if you can even get their attention. Good luck getting the same bartender when you go back for seconds, you just take who you can get.
